I’m an Australian writer whose short fiction, articles and reviews have appeared in a number of literary journals and magazines. In 2011/12 I was a Charles Pick Fellow at the University of East Anglia’s creative writing school, and in 2014 I was awarded the Max Fatchen Fellowship at the Adelaide Festival Awards for Literature. I also hold a doctorate in creative writing from the University of Adelaide. I edit the Lamp Post, an online magazine of children’s literary culture.
The links on this site are to my writing for adults, but my first book, a novel for children, was published in May 2014 under a Mysterious Pseudonym. It shared the Patricia Wrightson prize in the 2015 NSW Premier’s Literary Awards, was a CBCA Notable Book for 2015 and was shortlisted for the 2016 Adelaide Festival Awards for Literature.
